Wild weekly photo challenge: Sunsets

I’m participating in the Lets be Wild, online adventure travel magazine competition.

For the competition, bloggers are invited to share their favourite sunset photographs.

I just had to include some of our magnificent Florida sunsets. I never cease to be amazed at how beautiful and varied they are. These were taken after rushing out of my kitchen whilst preparing the evening meal. It’s so important to get ones priorities right. πŸ™‚

This stunning sunset was taken during ‘happy hour’ at our local golf course.

If you go to Hawaii, it’s almost compulsory to visit Sunset Beach, pick your perfect spot and wait patiently for that sunset to arrive.

Venice Lagoon is alsoΒ  a great place to capture that memorable sunset,

These photos were taken from the Island of San Clemente, on which our hotel stood.

From the motor launch taxi, we got this shot of the setting sun, highlighting the 17th century ‘Basilica Maria della Salute’, which stands in a prominent position between the Grand Canal and the Bacino di San Marco.

A visit to New England in the Fall, is supposed to be all about leaf peeping, but after a rainy afternoon, it can yield a delightfully surprising sunset moment.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my sunset pics. If you would like to be kind enough to vote for me, please visit this link. http://www.letsbewild.com/photo-challenge/wild-weekly-photo-challenge-6-sunsets/

  1. Those Florida shots are great. It’s funny that you posted them because as I was looking through some of my pictures I found one when I was visiting my sister in Ft. Lauderdale and the colors are amazing.

  2. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Laughing out loud on that bit of the first paragraph. Oh to the bloggers/picture-takers mind and dedication. πŸ˜€

  3. Well, I went to the website and tried to post a comment (it was a bit confusing what I was supposed to do there). The comment disappeared. I don’t know what I did wrong. But I did say I loved all your various sunsets in so many places. I think my favorite was the second one for the pink swirl.

    • Thanks so much, Gunta. I know what you mean about confusing. Thanks for trying. It’s not that important, as I’m sure I have no hope of winning. πŸ˜€ I just enjoyed doing the post. x

  4. Lovely sunsets Sylvia. I think my favourite shot of the bunch is your final pic though. The quality of the light in that one is just gorgeous. πŸ™‚

  5. Stunning shots, ad. The first and the New England one are particularly breathtaking.. couldn’t help staring at the photos for a long time πŸ™‚ Thanks for sharing.

  6. Fabulous pics AD, particularly the New England shot. You are so fortunate to have observed sunset in such exotic locations πŸ™‚

  7. I like all of them but particularly the New England one with the rainbow, which offers a glimpse of a double rainbow. With the fall foliage, it’s beautiful!
