Our last day in San Pedro, and the weather is gorgeous, but the sun is rather fierce, so we found a shady table at a beach cafe. We decided this would be the healthiest and most cooling lunch.
Just in front of us, there were several activities going on. It’s a perfect day for a bit of yachting.
This kite surfer was also having fun,
and the pelicans were keeping a look out for their lunch.
Tomorrow we head back to Florida. It’s been such a great week.
Blissful is all that comes to mind π
could just do with your fruit platter
It went down a treat. π
What a great blog! Thanks for checking mine, it’s appreciated and I love those wonderful pics!!
Thanks so much, Seyi. π
Optie has made a good point :). I never peel my own pommegranate :O
Now that’s a job I also wouldn’t enjoy, Paula. My hubby is great at peeling and chopping. π
Lovely photos AD, that fruit platter looks divine. To me there is no greater luxury than to have someone else peel and cut up fruit for me.
Thanks, optie. Now you mention it, I agree that it is a great luxury to not have to do the peeling and cutting oneself, especially with the pineapple. π
it looks like fun and that lunch looks delicious
Yes, we did have a wonderful time, and far too much food. π
Kite Surfing … that one looks like a lot of fun. Maybe an item on the life to-list
It’s something I wouldn’t even try, TG, but I imagine you would be good at it.
Ummmm….Now you’re making me hungry for fresh fruit!
Fresh fruit is the BEST. π
You are so lucky, AD. Lovely surroundings and that lunch is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks so much for the pics.
Thanks, adee. Back home now, and it’s just a lovely memory. π
Thanks for sharing, this looks like a fabulous lunch.
So glad you were also able to enjoy my lunch. π
That’s my kind of yachting!
It looked very glamorous from where I was sitting. π
I hope you have a safe journey home Sylvia. It’s been a fun week. π
Thanks, Adrian. back home now. It was a great week. π
That is one view I wish to gaze forever. Delicous , healthy tropical food with an endless vision of the blue waters.
It was like being in paradise. π
Tough life, Sylvia!!! From the ridiculous to the sublime – snow to extreme heat. You look much more at home in you hammock in this climate than in NJ!!! π My mouth is watering. My body is freezing here in CA. I think a day on a yacht would be fine!! I can’t even spell yacht! Lack of experience, I guess!!! π lol ML
It is a really tough life, Marsha. Back in Florida now, in my role as laundry lady. π
That’s constant!!! It seems like I’m always laundry, and V even helps put stuff in the washer or dryer quite a bit. π I wear my shirt with the big L that doesn’t stand for Lee!!! π
π
Looks glorious. What a wonderful lunch setting.
Thanks, Susan. It was a little bit of paradise. π
looks a tad more peaceful than yesterday, lovely photos!
Thanks, Christine. Yes it was a welcome respite from the hectic boat ride. π
A lovely day to spend a lunch AD π
And such a lunch!!
Yes it was. π
It certainly seems to have been a wonderful week… pity time seems so short on these occasions…
Had a great week, bdt. Its nice to be home though, even though there are chores to do. π
Time flies when you are having fun!
Yes, I had noticed that, Tandy. π
Now that is a fruit platter. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one served so well, usually it comes with dollops of cream or ice-cream and the fruit is oh-so-cubed! The pelican photo is really good BTW π
Yes, they really know how to do fruit here. The fruit and nothing but the fruit. π
Oh, for a great sailboat like that! Dreamy!
I agree with you. π
I see that the yacht has an outboard motor in case the wind blows the wrong way π
Very nifty idea. π
WIshing you a good flight back to FL. It’s really a tough life you lead… all that sun and surf and yummy fresh fruit.
Thanks, Gunta. Had a great last evening here. π
Looks lovely. Have a good flight back.
Thanks, newsy. π
Your lunch is indeed cooling and healthy, love the watermelon, have a safe flight to florida. π
Thanks so much, matron. π
Wow! That week went by fast! Looks like you really enjoyed yourselves. π
Yes, it just flew by, Cathy. We had a great time. π
I was stuttering on the like button. Lol. I hope you didn’t get inundated with likes.
Glad you had a great getaway. π
Thanks, Gemma. Only one like from you. π
Glad you enjoyed your week Sylvia!
Those pelicans and cormorants looked familier. π π
Yes, we did, and those birds are probably cousins of your lot. π
Great lunch and view. You made me hungry for both.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Thanks, Francine. π
Ahhh…. Tropical fruits, so refreshing!
Definitely so, Rommel. I needed a cool and calm day after my adventure yesterday. π
What a perfect way to finish your visit π
Yes it was a very relaxing day indeed. π
Awesome view it is too π
Well, there’s my favourite word again. π
It’s appropriate π
Home already its gone so quickly!
Yes, I know, Gilly, but it will be nice to get home. π
Good views all! From nosh to that interestingly gaff-rigged and raked-masted sloop, the kite lunatic, and the gannets and beak-can-hold-more-than-belly-cans.
Hahaha…..I love your description of the pelicans, Col. π
That is an old rhyme, reflecting on, ‘A wonderful bird is the pelican …’
Great you chose the healthy option lunch. I’ve often thought I’d like to try kite surfing if I was younger. It looks exhilarating!
I certainly does, PiP, and I bet it’s great for the tummy and arm muscles. π
Not at all envy … defrosting my freezer just now … and it’s at least -50F outside .. and I don’t what to know about .. sun, ocean … freshly nice cut fruit .. and nice birds.
*laughing … I’m coming over .. straight away.
With temperatures like you have, Viveka, what on earth do you need a freezer for? π
… good question .. but I want it to be warm and nice in the summer, you see. Just for the moment I don’t need one. All my food is out on the balcony – don’t have .. self defrosting .. only do it once a year.
