Lunch with a view

Our last day in San Pedro, and the weather is gorgeous, but the sun is rather fierce, so we found a shady table at a beach cafe. We decided this would be the healthiest and most cooling lunch.

Just in front of us, there were several activities going on. It’s a perfect day for a bit of yachting.

This kite surfer was also having fun,

and the pelicans were keeping a look out for their lunch.

Tomorrow we head back to Florida. It’s been such a great week.

  1. Lovely photos AD, that fruit platter looks divine. To me there is no greater luxury than to have someone else peel and cut up fruit for me.

    • Thanks, optie. Now you mention it, I agree that it is a great luxury to not have to do the peeling and cutting oneself, especially with the pineapple. πŸ™‚

  2. Tough life, Sylvia!!! From the ridiculous to the sublime – snow to extreme heat. You look much more at home in you hammock in this climate than in NJ!!! πŸ™‚ My mouth is watering. My body is freezing here in CA. I think a day on a yacht would be fine!! I can’t even spell yacht! Lack of experience, I guess!!! πŸ™‚ lol ML

  3. Now that is a fruit platter. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one served so well, usually it comes with dollops of cream or ice-cream and the fruit is oh-so-cubed! The pelican photo is really good BTW πŸ™‚

  4. Your lunch is indeed cooling and healthy, love the watermelon, have a safe flight to florida. πŸ™‚

  5. I was stuttering on the like button. Lol. I hope you didn’t get inundated with likes.
Glad you had a great getaway. πŸ™‚

  6. Good views all! From nosh to that interestingly gaff-rigged and raked-masted sloop, the kite lunatic, and the gannets and beak-can-hold-more-than-belly-cans.

  7. Not at all envy … defrosting my freezer just now … and it’s at least -50F outside .. and I don’t what to know about .. sun, ocean … freshly nice cut fruit .. and nice birds.
*laughing … I’m coming over .. straight away.

      • … good question .. but I want it to be warm and nice in the summer, you see. Just for the moment I don’t need one. All my food is out on the balcony – don’t have .. self defrosting .. only do it once a year.
