Maybe just a wee bit bashful. Maybe he was self conscious about his teeth, although I can’t imagine why. 😀
Maybe they hurt. In the book the Elephant Whisperer, on elephant totally changed personalities, and they had to put him down because he was attacking even the whisperer. Turned out he had a HORRIBLE tuskache, and had accidentally banged it, and went crazy and almost attacked a human. He also was being bullied by a worker, which didn’t help. But the tooth behavior oost him his life, and made the E Whisperer feel SOOOOO bad once he found out. 🙂 So who knows. But your guy is much too adorable.
