I’m often fascinated by people’s wash lines seen whilst on vacation; fascinated enough to take a photo. π

people, places and green spaces in Canberra
Interesting array of clothing there :).
Glad you think so, Dinx. π
π I never found washing fascinating!
Really?? You have no idea what you’ve been missing. π
I love drying my sheets on a wash line outside because they smell so fresh when you sleep on them. (Unfortunately we cant hang washing outside on our patio over here…)
Me too, Rosie. I can dry outside in South Africa, but not in Florida.
A whole week’s worth of pawpaw-holders, I see!
π
LOL, Col!
Oh you’re such a card col :)>
Everything is just so stunning, all beautiful indeed!
Thanks, Aina. π
The pleasure is mine. π
That is an interesting line…
I thought so too, π
That is uncommon to be seen in some countries or areas.
Yes, but very common in others. π
It is so well organized on the line. Great find!
Thanks, Emily. π
It’s funny how we find ourselves taking photos of the ordinary aspects of life when we are in a new place. Something you would never look twice at when at home.
In any case it looks like they did well keeping their whites white and their colors bright! π
Yes, I’m sure you wouldn’t want to take photos of my whatchamacallits. π Those alligators and herons probably wonder what all the fuss is about too, when you appear with all your photographic paraphernalia, yet again. π
Hahaha I can’t say I’ve ever thought of it but I will in future and I’ll be thinking of you!
The bra lady is a creature of habit – t shirt bras every day π
I’ll watch out for your wash line pics, Gilly. π
Me too! I went crazy in Shanghai as wash was literally hanging out of the sky!
Hahaha….. maybe WordPress should have a wash line photo challenge. π
Love that idea! I would have plenty to add!
Love it π
π
So neat and tidy. I wish we had more days when I could dry outside. The clothes smell so much fresher.
I so agree with you, and it saves on the electricity too. π
Hihihihihihi, good one!
Glad you liked it, ioanna. π
π very funny
Glad you liked. π
So that’s where my bra went…they stole my bra!
Bwahahaha. π
Love it! π
Thanks, Gemma. π
Laundry is always better dried outside.. not too much of that going on here last summer.. Nice capture Sylvia. π
I agree with you, Adrian. Hope you get a better summer this year. π
Wonder if these people know that their undies are now being displayed on the internet π
I hadn’t thought about that one, Susan. π
She’s got better bras than I do! LOL That’s so sad!
They do look in very good shape, Jasmine. π
I think it’s hand washing π
Must be the answer. π
I love washing lines too, and often photograph them.
Nice to know I’m not the only one, Debra. π
me too!! what is up with that?? lol
Oh, another one! Do you think we’re just a teensy bit weird, Pam? π
totally – but that is why we are so lovable – lol
Hehehe π
I love all the variety of clothes on the washline, from the Pirates towel to the bras and briefs (??). Great Wordless Wednesday, Sylvia. Funny how much someone’s wash tells about them. π
Thanks, Cathy. Glad you enjoyed the photo. π
Pirates of the Caribbean also caught my eye. Very appropriate considering where you took the pic π
Absolutely. π
It is a regular daily in Woodstock π
I’m sure it is, newsy. π Take some pics for me.
Dear my friend! I clicked on the link – when there! beautiful woman with an even more beautiful kitty π Your posts ,my dear friend is beautiful ! and delight me! Have nice day my dear friend
Thank you so much. Yes the kitty at the vet was beautiful too. π
Love that the bras are all lined up π
Hehehe….yes, very neat bit of pegging there. π
I love too dear AD, and I always wants to take their pictures. There is something in this hanging washings in the open air… Maybe takes us to the back, memories, etc. In the cities now it is forbidden by municipality. So we have all dry-machine too now in our home. But nothing can be so nice as in the open air… Thank you, love, nia
Yes, you’re right, nia. We can’t hang out washing here, but in South Africa, I have a drying yard which is really nice. π Love to you too. π
Think she’s got enough bodices?
Death, taxes and washing – always certain of those π
Very true, 68. It was the lined-up bras that first caught my attention, then I saw the dishcloth and decided to take the pic. π
I didn’t know pirates of the caribbean dried their clothes on a line π
They rather hang them from the mast. π Imagine a mast full of bras, drying in the breeze. π
I suppose it helps the sails LOL π
On naval ships they polish the brass, but on pirate ships wash the bras?
A very clever observation, Col. π
