Vibrant Morocco for Sue’s challenge

Sue of  ‘A word in your ear’ blog, has this week given us the word ‘Vibrant’.

One of the most vibrant countries I’ve ever visited, has to be Morocco. It has been said to be one of the most exotic places in the world. The souks here are a colourful sight, and have an abundance of carpets, traditional dresses and other handicrafts. You can stroll through medieval passages and alleyways, and experience a way of life which has changed little over hundreds of years.

Here are a few photos of some of the vibrant and colourful places and people we saw. Click on any photo to view the gallery.

I hope you enjoyed my vibrant pics. To see more interpretations of the theme, visit Sue’s post here.

  2. Nice photos! Tangier looks particularly interesting. I didn’t quite make it there but it looks beautiful.

    • Thanks, Lance. We were only there for a few hours, but it was lovely to see the architecture, and I loved the blue and white. A bit like Greece. 🙂

  3. I agree with your choice of country, though I have never visited… It has been on my wishlist for years :). Loving all the pics and most of all the ones of you 🙂

  4. Stunning vibrant shots there AD. I can see you had lots of fun there indeed. 😀 Thanks for sharing hon. *hugs*

  5. These are wonderful pictures… the one thing that struck me is no one seems to be overly in a hurry, with a far more casual way of life… no hustle and bustle… looks marvelous…

  6. fun and vibrant post.. i love the dried fruits and nuts.. and the carpets.. i’m sure you had a great time shopping. 🙂

  7. I’ve never been there, but it sure looks like a place to put in my bucket. It would be fun just to follow in all of your footsteps. I’ve gotten off to a very late start however, and I am not sure that I’d ever finish! 🙂 Fun time. 🙂

  8. What an amazing and exotic place Morocco is. The market captures are fantastic – the rugs, the thrones, the vegetables. All the men..crazy stuff ! Hope you felt safe while exploring.

  9. Red taxis look so strange! The only thing that would have possibly indicated to me that it could be taxis is that there’s so many in that small area

  10. Vibrant indeed AD.
Another place I’d like to go visit for real one day – at least with you in the vicinity I can view it vicariously 😉

  11. I’m sure SA’s No1 has one of those thrones in his Nkandla multimillion taxpayer paid homestead 😀
